We’re here to create and harness knowledge, to deliver opportunity for everyone.
About the Role
We are seeking to appoint full-time (or equivalent) permanent Lecturer(s) or Senior Lecturer(s) in Psychology to join the team at an exciting stage of our development. Applicants will hold a PhD in Psychology (or equivalent) and be active researchers with the ability to make a strong contribution to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise. With the potential to produce internationally excellent research outputs, candidates will also demonstrate a commitment to securing external research funding, generating research impact, and engaging in knowledge exchange activities.
The successful candidate(s) will contribute significantly to delivering an outstanding student experience through high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. While applications are welcomed from candidates specialising in any area of psychology, the ability to teach across expanding areas of the applied psychology curriculum—such as forensic, clinical, and/or coaching psychology—will be particularly advantageous. You will be committed to providing an exemplary educational experience and supporting students in developing strong transferable and employability skills.
Applications for part-time appointments will be considered: please ensure that you state this clearly in your covering letter.
For informal enquiries about this vacancy, you may wish to contact Prof Nick Hulbert-Williams, Head of the Department of Psychology, at hulbertwn@edgehill.ac.uk.
