We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in the North-West of England, who are recruiting for a Senior Solicitor for their Adult Social Care team on an initial three-month locum contract, with potential for extension. The position is due to start as soon as possible, and is offering circa £65 p/hour via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have managed staff previously, and have experience managing complex Adult Social Care matters.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Supervising a small team of lawyers and support staff, and undertaking more complex casework
- Managing the most complex legal cases within Adult Social Care, advising on and providing guidance relating to high profile cases which have reputational implications for the Council
- Supervising, monitoring and reviewing all lawyers’ work on less complex cases, assessing and appraising performance, setting targets and implementing management strategies to ensure the lawyers achieve targets
Experience required:
- Experience required in Local Government
- Experience managing staff
- Experience managing complex Adult Social Care legal matters
