We are looking for a Senior Lecturer who brings:
- Substantial experience as a Registered Adult Nurse gained in the UK (NMC registration with no conditions) and academic experience ideally with the Higher Education sector.
- Proven leadership and coordination experience within Higher Education or clinical education settings.
- A strong track record of innovative and inspirational teaching, curriculum development and student-centred pedagogic practice with a focus on developing digital acumen for all our learners
- Expertise or a keen interest in shaping apprenticeships and supporting high-quality work-based learning.
- The confidence to influence programme direction, contribute to quality enhancement, and support colleagues in delivering excellent teaching, assessment and feedback.
- A postgraduate teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) and a commitment to research-informed practice.
You will be digitally literate, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable leading within a collaborative academic environment.
Your responsibilities
In addition to your teaching and research responsibilities you will:
- Serve as Programme Coordinator, overseeing programme delivery, quality assurance, student experience and academic standards.
- Lead and support apprenticeship development, working closely with the Practice Learning Unit, employers and practice partners.
- Engage with programme review, validation and curriculum innovation.
- Mentor colleagues and support the development of high-quality, inclusive and flexible learning environments.
- Strengthen the distinctiveness of the University’s student experience through personalised, accessible and aspirational teaching.
