This position is an internal hiring role within Standguide. We are seeking to fill this role as part of our internal team.
Role: Employability Trainer or ESOL Trainer (Sessional)
Where: We are looking for staff across Scotland to deliver training in topics such as ESOL, Employability, or working with people with Mental Health issues based in or around Dundee, Stirling, Falkirk, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Contract type: Sessional/Flexible (Full and Part-time roles available)
Salary: £26,000 per annum, pro rata

What might you do?
- Deliver a variety of training and one to one support designed to prepare the customer for securing employment including via work placement/trial that will lead to employment
- Create CVs, SMART Action Plans and other documentation crucial to job search with learners
- Train learners in specific employability and functional skills in line with the requirements of the local labour market, and specific employers
- Work with employers, training providers and other agencies to strengthen the service we provide to our learners.
Your main tasks:
- Deliver high-quality training sessions in your area of expertise
- Support learners in developing their skills and achieving their goals
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our learners
- Provide a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What you’ll need:
- Appropriate teaching qualification e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE
- Experience in delivering training to adults where English isn’t their first language, qualifications include CELTA, DELTA, TEFL
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners
- Flexible and adaptable approach to training and teaching.
Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
