Location: Remote (UK-based)
Contract: Freelance / Part-time
Rate: £350 - £400 per day

The Role
As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), you will:

Provide IQA support for Carpentry & joinery qualifications and apprenticeship standards.

Conduct remote sampling and verification to ensure assessor decisions are valid, reliable, and consistent.
*
Offer guidance, feedback, and standardisation support to assessors and trainers.
*
Ensure compliance with awarding body and EPAO standards, Ofqual regulations, and industry frameworks.
*
Monitor performance, document outcomes, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
This role involves working remotely, supporting a small cohort of learners (approximately 6), with a commitment of around 6 hours per month, offering both flexibility and professional impact.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a quality-driven professional who brings:
*
A recognised IQA qualification (D34, V1, or Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance).
*
Occupational experience within Carpentry & joinery.
*
Knowledge of apprenticeships, EPAO processes, and awarding body compliance requirements.
*
Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and support assessors.
*
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience within the FE sector, training providers, or awarding bodies would be highly advantageous.
