Job Title: Science Lecturer & Lead Mentor
Location: Bradford
Contract Type: Part-Time (2 days per week, with flexibility and potential for additional hours)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 per hour
The ideal candidate will have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Recent experience teaching Science in an English secondary school
- Understanding or experience of initial teacher training (e.g., mentoring trainees or ECTs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Lead Mentor: visit schools during trainee placements, observe lessons, provide feedback, and manage documentation
- Deliver Leeds Trinity University (LTU) programme sessions to PGCE Secondary Science trainees on Fridays when required
- Liaise with LTU programme lead to ensure smooth delivery
- Support trainee development and progression
