About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Field Technician to join our expanding service team. This role is vital to supporting our fully managed defibrillator offering, covering a wide range of services from installation and maintenance to customer training.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in a field-based, customer-facing technical role. Full training will be provided. The role requires travel across the UK, with regular overnight stays.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks (full training provided):
- Installing defibrillators and cabinets at customer sites
- Conducting routine service and health checks on both company-supplied and customer-owned defibrillators
- Delivering awareness training sessions to groups (up to 12 participants), covering basic defibrillator use and cardiac arrest response
- Preparing and configuring defibrillators prior to installation
- Carrying out any additional tasks related to the above as required
This is a field-based role covering the UK. The position typically involves staying away from home for up to three nights per week (occasionally more). Where feasible, technicians may return home the same day for local jobs.
Skills & Experience
Experience is not essential, but the successful candidate must demonstrate:
- A full UK driving licence with no more than six points
- A willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
- The ability to communicate confidently and deliver effective training in group settings
- A positive and adaptable attitude
- A commitment to delivering excellent service to a wide range of customers
Remuneration & Benefits
Basic Salary: £23,825 per annum
On-Target Earnings (OTE): £26,150 per annum
(Guaranteed during first three months of training)
Commission Structure:
- £4 per defibrillator health check with training (minimum 250 per annum)
- £2.50 per health check without training (minimum 250 per annum)
- £6 per defibrillator installed (minimum 175 per annum)
Bonuses:
- Attendance Bonus: £1,000 per year (for no absences other than pre-approved holidays)
- Loyalty Bonus: £500 per year, paid on the anniversary of start date

Working Hours
- Standard working hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch break)
- Flexibility required based on customer appointments and travel requirements
Holiday Entitlement
- 20 days annual leave, plus statutory and bank holidays
- An additional day off on your birthday (if it falls on a working day)
- One extra day of leave for every two years of continuous service
- All holidays to be taken in line with business needs
