Experteer Overview
In this role you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across foundation and undergraduate Health & Social Care programs. You will support student progression through inclusive teaching, timely feedback, and academic supervision, while helping develop and enhance courses. You’ll work with colleagues to ensure academic standards and effective use of learning technologies, contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance. This position offers a chance to influence student experiences and outcomes within a dynamic, growth-oriented university group.

- Tutor students, including final year supervision, to support progression
- Develop and continually improve courses in collaboration with staff and students
- Deliver subject-specific sessions aligned with module outcomes
- Assess learning and provide timely formative and summative feedback
- Produce module/unit reports and communicate with diverse student cohorts
- Take on additional academic duties such as Module Leadership
- Communicate clearly with students from diverse backgrounds
Tasks
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject area
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in UK higher education or further education
- Experience in planning and delivering HE teaching using diverse methods
- Experience working in virtual learning environments (VLEs) to support learning
- PhD in a relevant discipline (Senior Lecturer)
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in UK HE/FE (Senior Lecturer)
- Evidence of leadership or contribution beyond individual teaching (module leadership, curriculum development, QA)
- Engagement in research, scholarship, or pedagogic activity with outputs or impact
- Desirable: HEA Fellowship or working towards it; teaching qualification in HE/FE; experience in similar HE setting
