Role Description
Purpose of the Role: To lead and coordinate all aspects of colleagues training onsite, including inductions, SOP management, and ongoing skills development. This role ensures that all colleagues are trained to meet operational, safety, and compliance standards in a food manufacturing environment. You’ll be instrumental in creating a welcoming onboarding experience and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and informative inductions for new starters, helping them feel welcomed and prepared.
- Organise and deliver training sessions (e.g. SOPs, refresher training, compliance).
- Record and manage training data, matrices, and individual training records. Support compliance training (e.g. hygiene, food safety, equality & diversity).
- Conduct role/task assessments and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with HR, departmental managers, and training buddies to plan and track training activities.
- Ensure SOPs are up-to-date, accessible, and clearly communicated to colleagues.
- Support internal and external audits by providing training documentation.
- Promote a culture of learning and development across the site.
- Assist in developing a training matrix and competency framework.
- Champion continuous improvement in training delivery and documentation.
- Liaise with external providers.
Role Requirements
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Experience in training delivery within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong understanding of SOPs, compliance, safety standards and audit readiness.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Organised, proactive, and confident working independently.
- Highly organised with strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, LMS desirable).
