We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established further education college in Derbyshire which holds an Ofsted rating of Good. The college delivers strong vocational provision in Health & Social Care, and values applicants with real-world experience, strong behaviour management, and inclusive practice. The college environment is welcoming and supportive, with a large and diverse student cohort, including learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver Health & Social Care courses at Levels 1 & 2, along with Routes (Entry 3).
- Provide high-quality teaching and learning in a focused classroom environment.
- Manage and support learners (including those with SEN) effectively and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records, monitor progress and prepare students for further education or employment.
- Work collaboratively with the department and contribute to a positive learning culture.
Required Criteria
- Degree qualification (or equivalent)
- PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience delivering Health & Social Care content in an FE or similar setting
- Strong behaviour management skills
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Eligibility to work in the UK and full access to teach in the FE sector
Desirable Criteria
- Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Background in the Health & Social Care sector
- Experience working with lower-level or entry-level learners
