This role involves contributing to teaching, research, and scholarly activities within the Faculty of Education. You will play a key part in shaping curriculum, supervising postgraduate students, and advancing the field of educational psychology through innovative research and publications.
Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Educational Psychology and related areas. Develop and update course content, assessment methods, and teaching materials to ensure relevance and academic rigor. Conduct independent and collaborative research, leading to high-impact publications in peer-reviewed journals. Secure research funding through grant applications and proposals. Supervise Master's and Doctoral students' research projects. Contribute to the strategic development and leadership of the department and faculty. Engage in scholarly activities, including presenting at conferences and contributing to academic discourse. Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to a supportive academic environment. Undertake administrative duties as required, such as course coordination and committee work. Foster partnerships with external organisations and educational institutions. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Educational Psychology or a closely related discipline from a reputable institution. A strong publication record in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. Proven experience of successful teaching and curriculum development at university level. Demonstrated ability to attract research funding. Experience in supervising postgraduate research students. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to scholarly activity and academic leadership. A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
