As a Senior Lecturer in Digital Pedagogy, you will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, research, and contributing to the strategic direction of digital learning within the institution. You will empower educators and learners by designing engaging and effective digital learning environments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in online education. Your key responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing, and delivering high-quality online and blended learning courses and modules, focusing on effective digital pedagogy. Conducting scholarly research in the field of digital pedagogy, learning technologies, and educational innovation, and disseminating findings through publications and presentations. Mentoring and supporting faculty in the adoption and effective use of digital tools and pedagogical strategies. Developing and facilitating professional development workshops and training sessions for educators on digital learning best practices. Contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of the institution's digital learning initiatives. Evaluating and recommending emerging learning technologies and platforms to enhance the educational experience. Assessing student learning and providing constructive feedback to foster academic growth. Collaborating with instructional designers, IT support, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless digital learning environment. Supervising postgraduate research students in areas related to digital education. Staying abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in higher education and educational technology. Qualifications:
A PhD in Education, Learning Technology, Digital Humanities, or a related field. A strong record of research and publication in digital pedagogy and learning technologies. Proven experience in designing and delivering engaging online and blended learning courses at the higher education level. Demonstrated expertise in a range of learning technologies and platforms (e.g., LMS, VLE, video conferencing tools, interactive content creation). Excellent understanding of pedagogical theories and their application in digital environments. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience in curriculum development and assessment design. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
