Purpose of the role
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering various full-time programs developed in collaboration with esteemed institutions.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of programs, especially for Foundation year students.
- Tutor and support students in achieving their academic goals and progressing towards their future careers.
- Engage in the development and continual improvement of courses, collaborating with both staff and students.
- Develop and provide comprehensive teaching materials and lesson plans for each module.
- Facilitate subject-specific learning sessions aligned with module learning outcomes and syllabuses.
- Implement appropriate assessment measures in collaboration with the assessment team.
- Identify and address the diverse learning needs of students within your modules.
- Provide timely formative feedback as prescribed by program specifications.
- Grade assignments and provide summative feedback within specified deadlines.
- Adhere to the expectations set by respective awarding bodies and universities.
- Produce relevant module/unit reports.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with students from diverse backgrounds.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential Requirements
- Master's degree and/or a PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience in lecturing similar courses at higher education institutions.
- Familiarity with digital teaching platforms like Blackboard, MS Teams, and Zoom.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in the related industry.
- Teaching qualifications such as PGCHE, MA in HE Practice, or FHEA.
