DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated ALS Specialist Lecturer to join our Additional Learning Support team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and apprentices with SEND, helping them to thrive in their educational journey.
In this role, you will deliver tailored interventions, carry out assessments for exam access arrangements, and contribute to the development of inclusive practices across the college.
This is a Fixed Term role up to 12 months (Maternity Cover)
Actual Salary: £16,930.37 - £21,429.77 per annum
Working Pattern: 18.5 hours per week - days to be confirmed with the successful candidate
Essential Criteria
- A relevant degree and teaching qualification
- Level 7 qualification enabling Access Arrangements Assessments
- A demonstratable experience supporting literacy, numeracy, language, and dyslexia in FE and/or HE
- Experience conducting Access Arrangements Assessments
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualised ALS interventions across FE and apprenticeship programmes
- Conduct Access Arrangements Assessments and SpLD screenings
- Support students with SEND, including those with EHCPs, through planning and progression
- Liaise with curriculum teams and workplaces to advise on adjustments and support plans
- Promote an inclusive culture and contribute to new initiatives within ALS
