Overview
Lecturer in Pathology - Education Focused. This full-time continuing appointment at UNSW focuses on education excellence in pathology and undergraduate teaching. Location: Kensington, Sydney, Australia. Remuneration: $127k–$150k base salary, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading. Work rights: Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must have full rights to work in Australia.
Role and Responsibilities
The incumbent will contribute to undergraduate teaching within the discipline of Pathology and collaborate with other disciplines in the School of Biomedical Sciences. Teaching activities include preparation, delivery and evaluation of lectures, tutorials and practical classes, and facilitation of small-group learning sessions. Qualifications and Experience
- A PhD in Biomedical Science, Pathology or a related discipline, and/or medical degree with relevant professional expertise.
- Experience in histopathology.
- Demonstrated experience in effective biomedical teaching including development, delivery and course convening at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
