A leading commercial explosive manufacturer in the UK is seeking an experienced Multi-Disciplinary NVQ Assessor to join their team. This is a vital position supporting current employees through their careers and achieving vocational qualifications across sectors such as Drilling, Shotfiring, and Driving (Class 1 & 2). You’ll be responsible for delivering fair, consistent assessments, maintaining regulatory compliance, and contributing to the growth and development of professionals across various industries.
This would be an ideal job for a Quarry Manager or similar.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver vocational assessments in line with awarding body requirements.
- Support and guide learners through their qualification journey.
- Use e-portfolio systems to monitor progress and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with employers, training providers, and colleagues.
Essential Criteria
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Quarrying, especially Drilling, Shotfiring and Driving
- Strong knowledge of industry standards.
- Proficient in using IT and e-portfolio systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Strong time management, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience delivering training or workshops.
- Knowledge of apprenticeships and end-point assessments.
- Experience supporting learners with diverse needs.
