END POINT ASSESSOR (EPA) - LOW CARBON HEATING TECHNICIAN

INTRO
V Selective are recruiting on behalf of an Ofqual recognised Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO).
As an organisation they are committed to quality, and deliver a rigorous apprenticeship end point assessment service.
Their service helps to ensure that apprentices, working within a range of industries, are able to do the job they are trained for.
Key industries they support include Gas, Power, Water, and Nuclear.
They are currently looking for End Point Assessors to support the delivery of the Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician Apprenticeship standard, to join their bank of Independent End Point Assessors.
Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician: This occupation is found in the Building Services Sector of the Construction Industry. The broad purpose of the occupation is to plan, select and size, install, commission, service and maintain (including fault finding, diagnosis and repair) zero carbon central heating and hot water systems in buildings including dwellings and industrial and commercial premises. Zero carbon heat sources may include but are not limited to Ground and Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal Collectors.
THE ROLE
The role is offered on a generous Zero Hours Contract, which includes pension contributions. The hours available vary dependent on demand, and registered EPAs always have a choice to accept assignments based on their availability. This role may be undertaken complementary to an existing substantive position with the permission of your current employer or within a wider portfolio of activities.
The role will be home-based with travel to conduct assessments.
Upon taking assignments from the Service Delivery team, you will deliver end-point assessment for the relevant apprenticeship standard and assessment method you are approved for.
You will undertake (remotely or directly) end point assessment activities (which may include practical observations and technical interviews), awarding a preliminary grade and ensuring that all assessment decisions are fair, objective, free of bias and based on all relevant evidence presented.
You will accurately record the outcomes of all end point assessment activity using assessment material submitting these records within required timescales.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Have recent relevant experience of Low Carbon Heating or at least occupational Level 4 gained in the last 5 years or significant experience of Low Carbon Heating.
- A formal assessor qualification is desirable
- An IQA award is desirable.
