About the role:
The Schools Liaison Lead will be responsible for implementing the Schools Liaison Implementation Plan. This role requires close collaboration with the Marketing team, the Careers & Schools Liaison Manager, and the Assistant Principal with cross-college responsibility for Careers and School Liaison. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of the plan, fostering strong relationships and alignment across departments to support strategic outreach and engagement with schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of the agreed Schools Liaison plan, with the support of the Marketing Team at CoPC.
- Organise transport, parking, and hospitality for school liaison events at COPC.
- Provide support for School Taster Days, Welcome Days etc including organising transport for schools, collating pupil choices and producing timetables.
- Ensure that there is an effective programme in place for school pupils that supports their chosen progression route, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEND)
- Lead on the In School Campaign with Marketing Team.
- Lead and coordinate Schools Liaison events and activities, and their promotion to schools (pupils and staff) and COPC staff to ensure high participation rates.
- Develop and maintain a calendar of school activities and opportunities for engagement, and resource appropriately.
- Produce a newsletter for schools, regularly promoting COPC provision and highlighting specific events/activities e.g. Open Evening, Taster Days, Welcome Days etc.
- Develop and maintain a contact recording system in respect of schools’ liaison activities.
- Liaise with IAG Team, Student Experience Team, Marketing, and external partners to support school liaison activities.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
- A good standard of Maths and English
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Background in working with young people, aged 16-19, in an education setting
- Computer literate
