The Futures Coordinator/Careers Advisor plays a pivotal role within the Sixth Form pastoral team, empowering students to navigate their post-18 journey with confidence and clarity.

As part of a school without physical boundaries, the Futures Coordinator inspires students to dream big, equipping them with the tools, resources, and knowledge to make successful applications to universities, apprenticeships, and careers worldwide.
By leveraging the flexibility and innovation of online education, you will help students shape their futures and achieve their ambitions, no matter where they are in the world.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality guidance for student university applications, with a primary focus on UCAS and other international university systems.
Lead the administration of the UCAS process and other application routes, ensuring students understand how to apply effectively, and successfully complete the application process.
Advise students on the wide range of post-18 options available, including university, apprenticeships, and other career pathways.
Collaborate with Sixth Form Heads of Year to ensure tutors can support students effectively, including managing the reference-writing process and providing feedback on personal statements.
Assist Heads of Year in delivering and enhancing the Next Moment Programme.
Offer tailored advice to students through meetings and consultations about their applications.
Develop opportunities for students and parents to access expert advice through initiatives such as guest speakers, workshops, and external resources.
Facilitate parental involvement in the university application process and address any queries they may have.
Maximise the use of resources within the Next Moment Programme, including promoting effective staff and student use of tools like Unifrog.
Build a robust understanding of application processes in international jurisdictions and integrate this knowledge into the Next Moment Programme.
Lead the Oxbridge Programme, supporting students aiming for early entry or applying to top-tier UK and international institutions.
Establish connections with external professionals to enhance the school’s support framework and stay updated on developments in post-18 study and application processes.

About Us
Inspired Online Schools, part of the Inspired Education Group, use state-of-the-art digital technology and operates two established divisions – King's InterHigh, a non-selective fee-paying online secondary school, established in 2005 and a B2B division including Academy 21, serving other educational providers, schools, local authorities and other public bodies.

About our Roles
Here at King's InterHigh and Academy21, our Leaders of Learning (Remote Teacher) contracts do differ from mainstream schools due to the nature of our business and ways of operating. As a Leader of Learning (Remote Teacher) you will be contracted to 42 weeks of the year, up to 38 of these weeks are contact weeks with the students, with the remaining weeks being available for additional activity such as course writing.
You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. During the school day there are allocated breaks in the morning, lunch time and in the afternoon, with breaks in between each lesson also.
Our lessons are 40 minutes long which ensures the time spent in the classroom is value added and effective. A full time Leader of Learning could be given a timetable with up to 33 lessons, equating to 22 hours of contact time.
As a business and a school, we do not follow the Teachers Mainstream Payscale, we operate in line with our own salary bandings. Further information specifically for each role will be available via the job adverts.
