IN SHORT
Following a period of learner growth, we are seeking two individuals that are passionate about Business & Management, who can share their knowledge, experience and passion with students looking to enter a vast range of Business, Management and Administration roles.
The teaching across both available roles plays a significant part in the curriculum delivery on the T-Level in Management & Administration programme. Candidates require a range of Business knowledge and skills (e.g. leadership & management, project management, etc.) to be able to deliver on these programmes. There are also teaching hours and management responsibilities across our OCR Level 3 and Gateway Level 2 provisions.
This is an opportunity for you to teach industry-relevant knowledge and skills to our students that wish to work within a range of Business functional areas. Part of the role will also focus on developing the learners’ essential skills and work-ready behaviours to support their progression to apprenticeships or employment within the Business area. In future developments, we will be looking to extend our course portfolio in the areas of Marketing, Tourism & Events Management, and Sustainable Business Practices, and would love to hear from individuals with these backgrounds also.
A course team leader not only plays the role of a teacher but is also responsible for leading on a study programme. This includes being the personal/academic tutor to your allocated cohorts (e.g. following up on behaviour, attendance, achievement and wider concerns) and leading on the quality assurance processes for the study programme, and active promotion of our study programmes (including open days, learner admissions processes, etc.).
MK College will treat all applicants fairly and with respect, irrespective of their background, disability, or any other individual characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from people with backgrounds which are currently under-represented within Milton Keynes College. All offers made to successful candidates are subject to satisfactory outcomes to a range of pre-employment checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). In addition, security clearance is required for all prison services positions up to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level.
