Worcester Business School is seeking a dynamic and experienced academic to join us as a part-time Principal Lecturer (Teaching) in Executive Education. In this senior teaching role, you will provide academic leadership for the Worcester Executive MBA and other executive programmes, helping us deliver exceptional, career-focused learning that blends innovation with real-world relevance.
About the Role
As Principal Lecturer, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our executive education provision. This includes leading curriculum development and delivery across key areas such as:
- Leadership and organisational change
- Business consultancy and strategic thinking
- Business sustainability and market positioning
You will contribute to a vibrant learning experience that supports classroom, online, and work-based learning, ensuring our programmes remain responsive to the evolving needs of professionals and employers.
You will also contribute to the wider academic and professional community through:
- Developing new executive education offers aligned with business needs
- Leading and delivering client-based consultancy projects
- Engaging in professional practice and scholarship
- Supporting innovation and quality in learning, teaching, and assessment
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced academic who brings:
- A doctoral-level qualification in a relevant discipline
- Contemporary expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Leadership
- Change management
- Consultancy
- Business sustainability
- Market positioning
- Experience of teaching executive learners in higher education, with a strong track record of positive student outcomes and effective pedagogic practice
- or high-quality presentation and facilitation skills and experience of developing executive leaders in a UK context
- Evidence of executive education programme leadership in a UK HE context, including experience of managing complex initiatives, supporting curriculum development, and fostering high standards of delivery
- A recognised teaching qualification or Fellowship of Advance HE

Please note: From 1 July 2025, the salary range for this role will increase to £57,422 – £66,537 (pro rata per annum), with the opportunity to progress to £70,579 (pro rata per annum), subject to performance and the University Reward Scheme.
