Join an Engineering department as an Engineering Assessor, where you will play a crucial role in supporting apprentices to achieve their full potential in various engineering disciplines. This position involves assessing work, tracking training progress, and supporting the development of essential skills.
Day-to-day Responsibilities as an Engineering Assessor :
- Assess and support apprentices through their learning journey.
- Provide guidance on associated qualifications and progression opportunities.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and end-point assessment planning.
- Liaise with employers and coordinate with college teaching teams for apprentice success.
- Manage learning processes to ensure readiness for assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Engineering assessor role:
- A recognised assessing or verifying qualification E.G A1, V1CAVA, TAQA ect.
- Experience in educational or engineering assessment roles.
- Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility to meet diverse needs.
- Proficiency in e-portfolio systems and a commitment to professional development.
