We're looking for a proactive Internal Recruiter to join our HR team and take the lead on sourcing, attracting, and securing top talent across the business. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering an exceptional candidate experience, act as a trusted partner to hiring managers and play a key role in shaping our recruitment strategy and employer brand.
- With a primary focus on recruitment, you will lead the coordination and delivery of end-to-end hiring processes across the business, ensuring a consistent and high-quality candidate experience.
- You will play a key role in shaping and continuously improving our entire recruitment and candidate journey - from initial attraction and selection through to offer and onboarding.
- Working closely with hiring managers and the HR team, you will take responsibility for sourcing, screening, and securing top talent, while supporting wider recruitment strategy and planning.
- You will be instrumental in enhancing our employer value proposition, reducing time and cost to hire, and promoting our brand as an employer of choice.
- The role will offer exposure to recruitment across a range of disciplines and levels, including graduate and early careers, and will suit someone confident working in a fast-paced and evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Source high-quality candidates through headhunting, job boards, CV databases, social media and professional networks.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of talent to meet current and future workforce needs.
- Manage recruitment channels and tools, including LinkedIn and the Applicant Tracking System (Pinpoint), ensuring a seamless candidate journey.
- Minimise reliance on external agencies by developing internal resourcing capability.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to forecast hiring needs and define recruitment strategies.
- Advise and support hiring managers, candidates and agency partners throughout the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
- Lead and coordinate the full recruitment process, including job adverts, candidate screening, interviews, assessments, offers and pre-employment checks.
- Handle all recruitment-related administration, including interview scheduling, documentation and compliance with legal and policy requirements.
- Promote the business and lead talent initiatives that enhance our position as an employer of choice.
- Strengthen employer branding and the employee value proposition (EVP) to attract and retain talent.
- Represent the company professionally through social media and at industry events.
- Track, analyse and report on recruitment KPIs such as time to hire, cost per hire (targeting a 60% reduction), internal vs external hiring ratios and first-year retention rates.
- Capture, analyse and report on recruitment data to inform strategic decision-making, support long-term workforce planning and drive continuous improvement through actionable insights and recommendations.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and competitor analysis to ensure market-aligned compensation strategies.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with employment legislation, internal policies, and best practice standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and applicant data across all systems.
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion at every stage of the hiring process.
- Keep informed of labour market trends, recruitment legislation and industry developments.
- Coordinate and support onboarding processes to ensure a positive and compliant new starter experience.
- Work closely with the HR team to continuously refine recruitment strategies, tools and processes.
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to identify opportunities and recruitment initiatives for graduate, apprenticeship and trainee schemes.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A minimum of 2 years experience working within recruitment, talent acquisition or similar position
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Data driven with experience of extracting insights from recruitment data
- Hands on experience with full-cycle recruitment
- Familiar with social media, CV databases and professional networks
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (we use Pinpoint)
- Awareness of different selection methods used to measure suitability
- Experience with candidate onboarding processes
- Experiencing working with external agency partners and managing relationships
