Purpose of the role:
As a Trainee Resource Planning Analyst, you will join our Resource Planning team, supporting both the contact centre and back-office operations, by providing data-supported insight and recommendations. You’ll work alongside our experienced Resource Planning Analysts to develop your analytical skills and build your capability to turn raw data into meaningful insight that supports operational resourcing decisions.
This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic financial services environment that will prepare you for a career in data analysis and workforce planning.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analysing workforce performance, including forecast accuracy, schedule efficiency, and productivity trends
- Support the development and automation of reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL
- Collaborate with Resource Planning Analysts to gather requirements and provide meaningful data insights to operational leaders
- Maintain and validate key datasets, supporting the integrity of workforce and volume data
- Support analysis of shrinkage, flex resource, and headcount planning to identify risks and recommend controls
- Take part in deep dives into historical data to understand trends, variances, and potential future issues
- Learn and apply data governance and best practices to ensure consistent and accurate reporting
- Participate in ad-hoc reporting requests and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for this role, you will need:
- To be at least 18 years old as of 1st September 2025
- Be a UK/EEA citizen or have lived in the UK/EEA continuously for the last 3 years
- To be eligible to work in the UK and not in full-time education
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) grades A* to C (new grades 9 to 4)
- You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject

About the Apprenticeship:
As a Trainee Resource Planning Analyst, you will develop the technical knowledge plus the professional skills and behaviours to work within our exciting and fast-paced Marketing team, gaining valuable work experience plus achieving a qualification through a structured apprenticeship programme to kick-start your career.
Through the level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, you will develop the skills and knowledge to become a confident data analyst, able to turn raw data into meaningful insights that organisations can act on. Within your development program, you will learn and grow knowledge such as:
- The data analytics lifecycle and database fundamentals
- Visualising and integrating data with a BI tool
- Developing skills in SQL and statistical techniques
- Machine learning and predictive analytics
By the end of the apprenticeship, you will achieve your Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship. Typically, the apprenticeship will take around 18 months to complete.
