Join our client's dynamic team in West London where they equip our learners with essential knowledge and skills required by the computing industry. We are looking for a dedicated Lecturer to deliver a range of Computing courses, with a specialism in Security.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions across a range of Computing courses, focusing on Security, from BTEC Level 2 to Level 5.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and digital tools to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes.
- Prepare course materials, assessments, and projects that reflect real-world scenarios and current industry standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and achievements of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure the courses remain relevant and impactful.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Degree in a Computing subject, with a strong understanding of IT Security or IT Systems Support.
- Experience in teaching, preferably including delivery of BTEC programmes.
- Proficient in using Virtual Box or similar tools, as well as configuring Operating Systems like Windows and Linux.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and motivating students aged 16-19.
- Commitment to professional development; if not already possessed, the candidate will be supported to achieve a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector.
