Calderdale College is looking to recruit an appropriately qualified and experienced individual to work across the apprenticeship provision to ensure that the progress and support for apprentices is in place and effective in order that all apprentices achieve timely success. As a progress and support tutor you will work closely with the team leaders, training officers & tutors to ensure the support needs of the apprentices are being fully met & that all apprentices are making progress and achieve their learning goals. Experience of working with construction, electrical & plumbing apprentices would be welcome. The individual appointed will be self -motivated and focused and can work effectively as part of a team.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure apprentices make progress, improve their skills and receive the support necessary to achieve timely success in their apprenticeships including in functional skills.
The role requires an appropriately qualified and experienced individual who can demonstrate success in previous roles. This includes the capacity to support contextualised Maths & English to level 2 in both the classroom and a work place context. These individuals will also be able to demonstrate and provide an exemplary role model to their apprentices
Please be aware that you will be required to work both at the College main site & at The Engineering Centre in this role.
