Role of an Early Learning and Childcare Trainer / Assessor

Responsibilities
As an Early Learning and Childcare Trainer/Assessor, you will:
- Deliver engaging, experiential learning sessions to school-age learners, both in-person and online.
- Provide one-to-one coaching and group support to learners across school and workplace settings.
- Monitor and assess progress toward vocational qualifications.
- Build meaningful relationships with learners, schools, and partner organisations.
- Stay current with sector trends and developments through ongoing research and CPD.
- Work with integrity, ensuring all practices are GDPR and compliance aligned.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Early Learning and Childcare Qualification at SCQF Level 9 (BA in Childhood Practice, PDA Childhood Practice Level 9, Social Services Children and Young People SCQF Level 9) (or equivalent).
- Knowledge and understanding of key Legislations, statutory codes, standards, frameworks and guidance relevant early learning and childcare.
- Leadership experience within an Early Learning and Childcare setting.
- Willing to work towards L&D9DI qualification- (Assess Workplace Competence Using Direct and Indirect Methods)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a car
Desirable:
- L&D9DI (Assess Workplace Competence Using Direct and Indirect Methods)
- L&D11 (Internally Monitor and Maintain the Quality of Workplace Assessment
- Experience in mentoring, coaching or assessing learners
Package:
- Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 full time equivalent, dependent on experience. (This is a term-time only role, salary will be paid on a pro rata basis)

- Term-Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. (Consideration may be given for a 4-day week, with hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm).

Location:
Head Office: Unit 4 Huntershill Village, 5 Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs, G64 1RX.
· Trainer / Assessor Role – Travel across several schools and local authorities.
