We offer work-based learning in Bristol, Birmingham and Taunton where Apprentices are based in-salon, earning money whilst attending regular training at the Academies. Here, they develop the skills & techniques needed to achieve nationally recognised qualifications.

We offer courses to those taking their first steps in the industry to salon professionals wanting to upskill.
Training Academy are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, professional full time Study Programme Manager to join the Team in Bristol City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about the hair industry and about supporting young learners to reach their full potential. Based at our vibrant Bristol centre, you’ll work at the heart of a forward-thinking team, committed to empowering the next generation of stylists and barbers.
About the Role:
As Study Programme Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery, quality, and development of our 16–19 Hairdressing and Barbering programmes. You will manage a team of dedicated tutors, contribute to curriculum development, and ensure learners are engaged, inspired, and well-prepared for careers in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the 16–19 Study Programme, including curriculum planning, learner engagement, and staff support
Support safeguarding processes alongside the Safeguarding Team
Deliver regular reporting to the Director and Senior Management, including quality improvement and action plans
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment
Ensure compliance with all quality assurance processes, funding regulations, and best practices
Build and maintain relationships with local salons and barbershops to support workplace experience opportunities for learners
Line manage a team of tutors and support their professional development
Essential Skills and Experience:
A passion for Hairdressing and Barbering and a desire to make a difference in young people’s lives
Hairdressing Level 3 qualification or equivalent industry experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to engage and inspire learners and promote personal development
Understanding of post-16 education, including Study Programmes and work experience placements
Excellent organisational skills and a collaborative mindset
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Desirable:
Teaching qualification or experience
Assessor Award (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge or experience of SEN, EHCPs, and learning support strategies
Experience in curriculum development and programme planning

Salary: £26,000-£29,000 dependent on experience.
