We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Animal Care Technician to support our 14-19 Post 16 provision. This is a varied and rewarding role combining animal care, learner support, and lesson cover, ideal for someone passionate about education and animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities

Providing daily care and welfare for a range of animals, including feeding, cleaning, handling, and health monitoring
Maintaining high standards of animal husbandry in line with welfare and safeguarding requirements
Supporting teaching staff during practical and classroom-based animal care sessions
Covering lessons when required, delivering pre planned learning activities and ensuring a positive and safe learning environment
Preparing practical resources, equipment, and learning spaces
Supporting learners aged 14-19, encouraging engagement, independence, and safe working practices
Assisting with risk assessments, health and safety checks, and record keeping
Helping maintain animal accommodation, equipment, and learning facilities
