Responsible for the talent, development and coaching strategies for the firm, the Talent, Development & Coaching Centre of Excellence (TD&C CoE) partners with the business to deliver high quality development opportunities that enable both the firm’s strategic priorities and individual growth of our people. We are a team of well-connected people professionals who bring creativity, expertise and market insights and work with subject matter experts in our business to respond to the development needs of the firm.
The Innovation and Investment Hub within the TD&C CoE is responsible for shaping how we design development solutions based on the latest market insights. The team’s aim is to foster a creative environment, bring consistency to scoping and investment proposals and drive efficiency in how we design programmes and govern our portfolio of work.
The Innovation and Insights Team sits within the Innovation and Investment Hub and is responsible for TD&C CoE’s connectivity to market trends, innovation and best practices and demonstrating the ROI of adopting appropriate innovative approaches and technologies. They also determine how we best leverage these insights in our talent, development and coaching strategies to meet business needs and influence strategic direction.
Reporting into the Innovation and Insights Team Lead, the Innovation Manager is responsible for contributing to a culture of innovation within the TD&C CoE. Introducing best practices and thought leadership regarding talent and development methodologies, innovation, skills of the future, and key suppliers. They partner with the Design Hub to support the delivery of market leading TD&C for our people, and work closely with the Scoping and Facilitation team to input into key Investment Proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the strategic priorities for the Innovation and Investments Hub, in support of the Talent, Development and Coaching strategy, to enhance learning design at PwC.
- Research and capture market and competitor insights, trends and predictions to inform TD&C CoE strategy and demonstrate an innovative and creative approach to learning design and the talent agenda, and document any process information to support adoption and upskilling.
- Research the supplier market in relation to L&D providers, capturing and sharing key supplier capabilities and roadmaps to support agility within the buy vs build agenda and to support the development of transformative learning solutions.
- Support robust and thorough testing with new suppliers or processes, and support detailed risk and mitigation plans are developed, and lessons learned are shared.
- Build and maintain an understanding of the firm’s People Strategy and the People Function priorities bringing knowledge and insights to the wider CoE and inform development considerations.
- Input into the establishment and iteration of internal design methodologies and processes and the documentation and maintenance of these in appropriate repositories.
- Draw on latest industry thinking, adult learning methodologies, behavioural science and neuroscience to support the team to continually iterate our internal design methodologies and processes, including contributing to the documentation and maintenance of these in appropriate repositories.
- Review research and proposals written by peers to maintain quality control of content and drive consistency.
- Contribute to I&I Thought Labs’ to showcase the latest trends and innovations in the learning & development landscape, showcasing how latest thinking is relevant to the TD&C portfolio.
- Build relationships and networks both internally and externally with providers and suppliers.
- Support TD&C investment proposal scoping, inputting recommendations regarding content/ supplier opportunities.
- Support the strategy and running of the internal Community of Practice, which promotes sharing, learning, problem solving and innovation across the TD&C community.
Requirements
- L&D capability, with knowledge of how to apply adult learning principles, behavioural science, neuroscience and innovative thinking methodologies and/or technology to add value and enhance learning effectiveness.
- Passionate about enabling creativity in others and being at the forefront of market trends.
- Experience of building communities and bringing others together to share and innovate.
- Ability to develop knowledge in the latest learning and development methodologies.
- Curious and creative, with the ability to creatively develop new ideas.
- Ability to work with GenAI, including proficiency in using prompting techniques and reviewing outputs.
- Ability to support multiple strategic priorities and projects in support of the TD&C strategy.
- Understand PwC’s service propositions and strategy.
