East Kent Colleges Group is seeking to recruit a Group Head of Business Development.
This brand new role will see you working closely with the Chief Business Officer to identify new opportunities for collaboration within industry and across employment sectors.
Using your expert knowledge, research, and employer links, you will build and develop effective relationships with employers and adopt key account management practices. This will enhance our delivery of student activities, as well as supporting learners in their career planning and development.
You will also lead employer training needs analysis activities, utilising a variety of tools to develop training plans for employers, identifying their training priorities, and creating opportunities for the Group to develop new programmes and services.

We are seeking to appoint a Group Head of Business Development with experience of working in the further education sector.
You will also:
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- be highly organised and be able to prioritise work whilst applying a flexible and responsive approach to work demands.
- have a clear understanding of the local employment market and the needs of employers
be able to communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders - be able to work independently working on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- hold a level 5 or equivalent qualification
