Job Summary:
At Northern Learning Trust we aim to improve the potential and raise the aspiration of people through learning. Much of our work is with vulnerable and disadvantaged people and communities with complex needs. We use informal learning and mentoring to build confidence and skills, and help people find solutions to their problems.
A key tool in our strategy to improve the lives and futures of our families and communities, is our colourful, fun and engaging Family Learning. Could you help give parents the skills and knowledge they need to help their children succeed? We have an exciting new vacancy for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Tutor, to deliver our Family Learning provision across the region.
Ideally you will be a fully qualified tutor, with experience in engaging and supporting adult and family learners in a range of community settings. However, we’re also keen to hear from applicants who are newly qualified or working towards a teaching qualification at Level 5 or above. You’ll need to be creative and practical as the learning will be delivered using a range of methods and strategies, but most importantly, you will be a sympathetic and supportive teacher, with a genuine desire to help people improve their lives through learning.
We are passionate about the work we do and need a person who understands our values and believes in our mission. In return we offer you the opportunity to join a forward thinking and supportive organisation at an exciting stage in its development. We value our team members and offer a competitive salary, flexible working patterns and a friendly, supportive work environment.
