The role:
This is an interim opportunity for a subject matter expert in construction who is passionate about creating exciting and engaging programme content. You will work closely with our Service Delivery, Marketing and Account management teams creating new apprenticeship, HTQ and commercial programmes along with reviewing and improving current academic learning.
You will plan and build industry-leading academic learning content that will form a part of our construction apprenticeship programme and HTQ qualifications that allows organisations to develop the skills of their workforce and deliver maximum, real-world impact. Details:
Full Time 37.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £33000 – £38000 dependant on experience.
Permanent Position – 6 months’ probation period.
Semi Flexible with 3 days office based in Worcester Head Office.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the subject matter expert on teaching and developing content for construction-based programmes.
- Plan and build a range of modules in ourconstruction portfolio covering Levels 2 to 5 for work-based apprenticeships and Higher Technical Qualifications.
- Write engaging, interactive and concise eLearning interactive and face to face content that has real business impact and gets learners to End-Point Assessment on time.
- Work collaboratively with the curriculum team to design and continuously improve our suite of high quality, interactive, remote and face to face workshops.
- Plan and build first-class engaging content and work with our service delivery team, awarding bodies and EPAO’s to produce it.
- Collate high-quality, targeted further learning/reading lists for each module.
- Quickly and thoroughly research new topics to produce cutting-edge professional content.
- Ensure our programmes continue to meet all the requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards and HTQ learning outcomes.
- Produce and maintain programme guides, templates and supporting documentation to support learners and employers.
- Work closely and collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders, such as those in the teams of Curriculum, Assessment, Marketing and Service Delivery.
- Work effectively with external stakeholders as directed.
- Work collaboratively with the internal teams on other programmes both current and future.
- Follow the responsibilities and guidelines set out for the Curriculum Team to produce high quality content on time, complete administrative processes, and deliver positive behaviours and communication.
- Make sure Personal Development Behaviour and Attitudes, and Off-The-Job-Hours (OTJH) requirements are seamlessly met in the programme.
- Ensure content is cutting-edge, up to date and engaging.

Experience and Skills:
Essential:
· Experience writing educational/training content in construction modules for qualifications from level 2 to level 5.
· Understanding the application of various data and technology solutions including real-world contexts.
· Project Management
· AI and Machine Learning
· Must be qualified up to level 5 within a construction discipline.
· Must have industry experience in construction roles.
· Experience delivering training.
Desirable:
- A teaching/coaching qualification.
- Internal Verifiers qualification.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the construction industry.
- Experience writing educational/training content for apprenticeships and higher-level qualifications.
- Experience in the delivery mixed media programmes to learner groups.
- Experience of writing construction related Apprenticeship and HTQ training content.
- Experience in using VR Educational platforms.
- Experience in the use of the following applications:
Microsoft 365
ChatGPT
Adobe Suite: In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Editor
YouTube-Google Interface
Articulate
LMS system: BUD, Smart Assessor etc.
