About
I am writing to express my interest in the position of Bricklaying and Course Manager. As an experienced education leader with a background in vocational training, curriculum innovation, and global delivery, I offer a proven capacity to design, deliver, and manage programs that align with both industry needs and national standards. My career has been dedicated to bridging the gap between education and employment through responsive, industry-driven curriculum development.
As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Silver Trowel Trade Training Pty Ltd (STTT), I built the organisation into one of Australia’s leading Registered Training Organisations, delivering nationally accredited qualifications across building and construction, health and safety, and business services. I developed programs from concept to accreditation and delivery, ensuring full alignment with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and industry competency standards. Under my leadership, the organisation expanded to serve over 1,000 domestic and 250 international students annually across more than 45 countries.
Throughout this period, I built and maintained strong relationships with local and international industry partners, ensuring that our curricula remained relevant, adaptive, and outcomes-focused. These partnerships were instrumental in securing major government contracts and enhancing graduate employability across Australia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the UK. My work was recognised with the Prime Minister’s Award for Innovation and Design in Training and Education, along with multiple state and international awards for excellence in curriculum development and delivery.
In 2011, I founded EziAssess Pty Ltd, an educational technology company that developed Mark Smart, a digital learning and assessment platform now used by schools and vocational institutions across Australia and Southeast Asia. This experience strengthened my expertise in competency-based learning design, technology-enhanced delivery, and scalable assessment systems.
Most recently, I have spent 14 months working in the United Kingdom as a contract Bricklaying Lecturer, gaining first-hand experience with the UK’s training system and qualification frameworks. This role has provided valuable insight into the structure of vocational education in the UK, particularly within City & Guilds and NVQ standards, further enriching my perspective on international best practice in curriculum design, assessment, and learner engagement.
With this blend of leadership experience, front-line teaching insight, and cross-jurisdictional curriculum knowledge, I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to any strategic educational objectives. I am passionate about ensuring that curriculum frameworks not only meet compliance standards but also inspire learners, meet employer expectations, and future-proof workforce skills.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my global experience in curriculum innovation, educational leadership, and industry collaboration could support any UK college and their mission to deliver exceptional learning outcomes.
