About
I have over ten years of experience supporting learners, customers, and diverse communities across educational, advisory, and public‑facing environments. My career has given me a strong foundation in student support, information guidance, administration, and safeguarding — all of which I’m now looking to bring into roles within education, skills development, or learning environments.
In my current role as an Exam Invigilator, I work with accuracy, vigilance, and a strong sense of responsibility. I follow strict procedures, safeguard learners, and maintain calm, structured environments where students can focus. This experience has strengthened my ability to manage confidential information, support students with different needs, and uphold high standards of organisation and professionalism.
My previous role as an Employability Advisor allowed me to guide individuals through job applications, interviews, digital tools, and confidence‑building. I developed strong communication skills, the ability to motivate others, and a talent for breaking down information in a way that feels accessible and supportive. These skills translate naturally into helping students navigate library resources, IT systems, and independent study.
Working at Citizens Advice further enhanced my ability to conduct focused interviews, provide tailored information, and support people with varying levels of capability. I became confident in using questioning techniques, signposting effectively, and helping individuals understand complex information — all essential in learner‑facing roles.
Earlier roles in customer service, reception, and public engagement helped me build a warm, approachable style and the ability to maintain welcoming, well‑organised spaces. I’m comfortable supporting children, young people, and adults, and I bring patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills to every role.
Across my career, I’ve consistently demonstrated:
• Clear and confident communication (verbal, written, and bilingual in English and Portuguese)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to support learners with different needs and confidence levels
• Competence with digital systems, Microsoft Office, and data entry
• Calm, professional behaviour in busy or sensitive situations
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and positive learner experiences
I’m now seeking roles such as Learning Resource Centre Assistant, Library Assistant, Student Support Assistant, Learning Mentor, Employability or Skills Support roles, or administrative positions within education settings. My training in Mental Health First Aid, Neurodiversity, De‑escalation, and IEP‑accredited learning further strengthens my ability to support students holistically and contribute to inclusive, supportive learning environments.
