About
As an extremely motivated and highly ambitious professional with over 18 years of experience in the Early Years and Education sector—ranging from Nursery Manager to Lecturer and Lead Internal Verifier—I bring a wealth of expertise in assessment, quality assurance, and online learning delivery.
In my current role and previous role an Online Assessor at Capel Manor and Cambridge Regional College, I manage a diverse caseload of students using the Equal online platform. I am responsible for assessing qualifications across multiple streams, including Mental Health, Business, and Administration. This role has honed my ability to provide detailed, constructive feedback within strict timeframes while ensuring that all students have fair and equal access to assessment opportunities in line with equality and diversity policies.
My background is rooted in a deep passion for promoting good practice and safeguarding standards. Highlights of my qualifications and experience include:
• Diverse Assessment Expertise: I hold CAVA and Lead IV/IV qualifications and have extensive experience marking for a range of awarding bodies ensuring standardisation and high-quality feedback.
• Specialised Knowledge: My recent certifications in Cyber security (Nov 2025), Mental Health First Aid (Jan 2025), Autism (2023), and Counselling Skills (2023) allow me to support learners with a holistic and informed approach.
• Leadership and Compliance: As a former Teaching and Learning Lead, I have mentored staff to meet Ofsted Education Inspection Framework standards and have a proven track record of maintaining meticulous records.
• Remote Proficiency: I am highly skilled in using online marking platforms and digital communication tools (such as Microsoft Teams) to support learners and collaborate with external examiners.
I transitioned into assessing because I am dedicated to sharing my passion for educating and supporting others and helping them improve their professional performance. I use my unique perspective as both a seasoned professional and a parent to ensure well-being and safeguarding are always at the forefront of the learning journey.
I am eager to bring my dedication, time-management skills, and to The skills Network. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how my skills can support your assessment team.
