- Facilitating physiological labour and birth with a high standard of care and attention in supporting women in early labour, biomechanics, environment and the mechanism of birth (including extensive experience in pool birth and active birth - Facilitating the learning and education of student midwives (as well as paramedic and medical students) in alignment with the birth centre s ethos of empowering women through physiological birth - Highly skilled in recognition of deviation from normality and anticipating emergencies and escalating appropriately to improve outcomes and safety - Skilled in infant feeding education for both colleagues and student midwives - Clinical skills and drug administration relevant to intrapartum care e.g. suturing, cannulation, administration of controlled drugs and IV drugs
