About
A HCPC-registered Paramedic currently working for West Midlands Ambulance Service with experience delivering evidence-based pre-hospital care across a diverse range of clinical presentations. Comprehensive, thorough patient assessment abilities, advanced clinical reasoning and the creation of safe, effective management and treatment plans in line with JRCALC and local guidelines. Possess experience in the management of both emergent and non-emergent cases, including major trauma, cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, strokes, maternity emergencies, long-term conditions and primary care complaints. Ability to stay calm and rational during time-critical cases, incorporating risk assessments, decision-making and patient-centred care. Experience in advanced life support interventions, including defibrillation, airway management, intravenous and intraosseous access and trauma management, whilst always ensuring dignity and patient safety. Demonstrates accountability in decision-making as an autonomous clinician, including the use of alternative care pathways and non-conveyance cases to support hospital avoidance. Effectively works within multidisciplinary teams like pre-hospital clinicians, enhanced paramedics, doctors and first responders like police and fire to ensure high-quality patient care. Demonstrates the ability to contribute to the professional and educational development of students through mentoring to create a supportive learning environment.
