About
James Vincent is a strategic board adviser, AI consultant, and SME champion specialising in AI adoption, digital transformation, and marketing-led growth. With senior experience spanning government programmes, higher education, and private consultancy, he supports organisations through digital, cultural, and structural change with strong governance, ethical oversight, and evidence-based challenge. He is co-owner of an award-winning communications agency and a national educator in AI and digital skills, bringing a rare dual perspective that combines practitioner realism with strategic foresight. His work is rooted in the lived realities of small businesses, including cashflow pressure, late payments, workforce capability, and responsible technology adoption. James advises boards, leadership teams, Business Improvement Districts, charities, and public bodies on AI readiness, digital risk, communications strategy, and inclusive growth. Current roles include Council Member of the Small Business Growth Council, Associate Lecturer in Marketing & AI, and AI Consultant to the International Labour Organisation, where he supports global SME AI adoption programmes. Alongside his advisory work, he leads Digital Resistance, a UK-wide AI literacy initiative focused on ethics, safety, and accessible learning, and is completing a PhD in AI, ethics, and digital innovation.
