Decision makings, problems solving and listening skills were the main skills I gained during my studies and experience. These skills grew my ability to learn, reflect, discuss and engage with staff and stakeholder to ensure that we are on the right track. research skills also was one of the skills I gained during my PhD studies as I learned how to analyse, present and deliver what I found on a relevant topic that I am researching.

About

For several years, I have been an HR practitioner for private schools and education sector as I climbed the ladder from HR officer to become a director in eight years time. During this position, I had the chance to establish a proper HR department that has plan, strategy and a mission to meet rather than doing administrative tasks that can be done by admin officers or receptionist.In other words, I transferred the HR department from operational to strategic department. One of my achievements was the automation of the HR procedures and templates as the schools used to use pens, papers to conduct staff's data such as absence and leaves, payroll, performance evaluation and training and development. The automation had been done when I convinced the management to buy an HR system with a convenient budget and, I customised. it based on what I saw appropriate and based on the Jordanian Law, the general performance of the schools were outstanding, the reputation, rankings, revenue and profits had increased significantly . Furthermore, the schools used to distribute the HR functions to be done buy admin officers and receptions before I came but since I assigned and started working, I built all the policies, templates procedures, instructions, code of conduct, employees handbook, grievance and promotion and more and more. The outcomes were great and, that enhanced the schools reputations which positively reflected on the schools revenues and profits. I also was an hourly paid lecture at Brunel University London as a part of my PhD studies and I have responsible to design and deliver business and management subjects to undergraduate students, I was also responsible on helping them out with their own projects or dissertations especially third year students.
