About
I'm Courtney Klein, a licensed Architect (OAA, NCARB) with ten years of professional design experience and a growing passion for design education. My teaching portfolio spans multiple levels and disciplines: I've served as a Lecturer at Istituto Marangoni's Faculty of Design, teaching across all years of undergraduate BA Design courses in Visual, Interior, Furniture, and Product Design. I've also worked as a Sessional Tutor at KICL, and as a Teaching Assistant at Carleton University's Azrieli School of Architecture, where I instructed computer modelling, design economics, and digital fabrication techniques. My teaching approach bridges design theory with technical skills; from storytelling design and research strategy to parametric modelling and computational design tools. With dual Master's degrees (MArch Professional from Carleton, MArch Design for Performance & Interaction from the Bartlett), I bring both professional practice expertise and specialised knowledge in experiential design and interactive technology to the classroom. I'm seeking teaching roles in architecture, interior design, and interdisciplinary design programmes where I can contribute across foundational through advanced levels. I'm particularly interested in positions that allow me to teach computational design, environmental graphics, experiential design, or design technology courses, while fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and preparing students for contemporary practice that integrates traditional architectural thinking with emerging digital and interactive methodologies.
