Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing to apply for the position of Head of Swimming. With over 20 years of leadership experience and aquatics, high-performance sport, and large-scale event management, I bring a proven track record of building thriving programmes, leading teams, and delivering results at both grassroots and elite levels. During my time in Thailand, I was privileged to run the Thailand Performance Centre at Pattana Sports Resort, where I oversaw multi-sport academies, managed nine sports with a team of 38 staff, and delivered landmark events including the CIMB Triathlon, Mitsubishi 10K, Spartan Race, and multiple FOBISIA competitions as the Games host venue. I also secured and hosted the World School Rugby Championships, positioning Thailand as a hub for international school sport bringing in top schools from around the world to Thailand. As the Founding Director of Aquatics at Rugby School Thailand, I developed and managed a full aquatics programme across 3 pools, from learn-to-swim through to performance squads, ensuring both athlete development and operational excellence. I co-ran one of the largest multi-school learn-to-swim programmes in Thailand from Pattana Sport Resort delivering high-quality aquatics to schools including St. Andrews GV, BASIS, Denla and Verso International School. This was a joint effort with my wife, who is also a qualified swim teacher and triathlon coach, and together we built a respected, sustainable swimming pathway in the region. My coaching foundation was established in the UK with roles at City of Glasgow Swim Team, Leeds City Council, and Arran High School of Sport, where I coached athletes from grassroots through to international level winning Arran the gold award school of sport. I hold an MS in Sports Science & Nutrition, alongside professional certifications in swimming, triathlon, strength & conditioning, and aquatics teaching. with a heavy background in performance testing for age group triathletes via my company.In addition to my aquatics & triathlon leadership, I am the founder of Sport Nutrition Group (SNG), a science-led endurance nutrition manufacturer, which reflects my entrepreneurial drive and performance-centred approach to athlete development I would welcome the chance to discuss how my experience and vision can support your organisation in taking its swimming programme to the next level.
