About

Responsible for creating a Modern Apprenticeship Programme procuring training providers for with roles across 20 job families ranging from Countryside Rangers, Horticulture, Facilites Management, Digital Marketing, Procurement, Social Media , Administration through to Hospitality , Retail and Cultural Venue Operations. Managing all stakeholder relationships with training providers for each programme and performance reviews with each provider. Lead on creating service level agreements and establishing ongoing relationships with universities across Higher Education, and growing Graduate Apprenticeships for our staff to upskill in Business and Project Management. Also leading on existing staff upskilling through suitable SVQ's. Established a partnership with WorkIT to co-ordinate school work experience nationally -to ensure that first taste of the world of work is a positive and impactful one. Responsible for co-ordinating ten Career Ready Internships annually and leading on the growth of our DFN Project Search programme to create opportunities for young people with learning disabilities & on the autistic spectrum - aiming to create a more diverse workforce. Recently identifying future skills gaps creating two Graduate Traineeships for an Archaelogist and Lichenologist working closely with the subject matter experts and chartered institutions in these specialist areas where there are certain skills shortages. This role has allowed me the opportunity contribute to the Skills Investment Plan for the sector nationally- being integral in establishing the first Heritage Careers Week and creating content for a new careers site Heritage Careers Unpacked. Internally I have led on the design and creation 'The Careers Nook' on our learning platform - covering a range of topics from Squiggly Careers, Quarter Life careers, Mid Life Career MOTs and how to Understand Your Sector. Collaborating with sector leading careers consultants to create this content to empower staff to further their careers internallh. Externally, I thrive on regularly attending national careers events, promoting career pathways for both school leavers, university students and veterans transitioning to civilian roles. Keeping abreast of changes within the skills landscape attending university, college and training provider information sessions to ensure the business is aware of latest learning offers & how they can add value to our organisation. Initially when commencing my current role I had ensure we had the right infrastructure in place to support our future workforce to succeed I led on Achieving the Trust's Investors in Young People Accreditation at Silver Level . This also allowed me to pilot a reverse mentoring programme the 'The Thrive Initiative' to encourage intergenerational across the workforce. My current role regularly requires creating content for different audiences from contributing to operating plans, preparing reports , presentations for senior leadership and organising conferences. Collaborating with internal and external communications teams regularly to develop key targetted messaging - providing appropriate copy and content for social media or our corporate website . Ensuring the content is aimed at appropriate audiences - ranging from videos, blogs of careers profiles giving a snapshot of a day in the life of our varied roles. Aiming to showcase all job families across the workforce - challenging stereotypes about the sector. I enjoy encouraging staff to take part and participate in national career campaigns such as national careers week and no wrong path. Creating an informal network of career pathways champions. Finally, my position also allowed me to feed into our schools liason team who have been able to secure funding for a successful Workforce of the Future programme from external funders as a result. Allowing them to deliver programmes to showcase our twenty job families to primary school age children. I believe my passion for building the future workforce coupled with my leadership, project co-ordination and expertise would be an excellent fit working for a values based organisation I wish to further my own career working within an innovative organisation that is committed to investing in its current and future workforce to equip them with the necessary skills to thrive in their careers.
