About
A Cardiff University graduate receiving an upper second class (2:1) degree in French, I specialised in translation and critical analysis of foreign cinema and literature. I have extensive experience working abroad, spending two years as an Area Co-ordinator in Spain (Burgos) and a year working as a Language Assistant in France. I spent four years working for IntoUniversity as a Lead Senior Education Worker (Lead SEW) and Mentoring Coordinator, with an additional responsibility for Safeguarding and Looked-After Children & Young People, alongside delivering our diverse programme of support. As a Lead Senior Education Worker I developed expertise in Safeguarding and Child Protection, contributing to the development of best practice, training, and central resources for the staff network. In 2021 I took up a role as a Senior Programmes Officer for the NHS Confederation, working within the Development and Employment team. My work mainly focused on the management and implementation of the DHSC Code of Practice for ethical international recruitment of health and social care workers. 2022 signalled a career change as I joined Frontline's cohort as a Trainee Social Worker, training at Manchester Children's Services. since qualifying, I have taken up roles as a children and families social worker, working firstly in Leeds, and currently in Oldham
