About
since starting my makeup career by enrolling onto the 2 year media makeup course in Kings Lynn many many years ago, I have had the most incredible career path anyone could wish for. I was fortunate enough to take over the role of MUA tutor from Louise Young at the College of West Anglia a few years after completing my course. I was promoted to course director over the 5 year period of employment. I joined global makeup brand M.A.C cosmetics in 2001, working in their flagship FSS on the Kings Road in London. I spent 18 wonderful years with this global makeup giant. I was exposed to every area of the makeup industry and some of the biggest makeup artists in the world. I was a regular team player backstage at global fashion weeks as well as advising leading MUAs in the field of film, television and theatre. I had many high profile roles during my time with MAC including Senior Artist, Educator, Global PRO Trainer and Creative Director. I was able to learn from some of the industries finest which enabled me to fine tune my skills as a makeup artists, educator and facilitator. My contacts at MAC allowed me to pursue a career as a freelance makeup artist which is what 'I'm currently doing. I've done things that I never thought possible. from hit TV shows to Blockbuster Marvel and Disney movies. more recently I've been working in top West End theatre shows as associate makeup designer for Disney's Hercules and Burlesque.
