Skills
I have over nine years of frontline operational experience as a Train Operator at Transport for London, where I managed safety-critical duties, responded to incidents in real time, and maintained high standards of operational communication and performance. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Railway Engineering, which covers key areas such as signalling systems, OLE, permanent way, fault detection, and systems maintenance. This technical foundation, combined with my first-hand industry experience, gives me a solid platform to support and train learners in Signalling and Telecommunications. I am confident in my ability to translate complex procedures into clear, practical training and would be proud to help develop the next generation of railway engineers.
About
I recently completed a PGCE in Secondary Physics with Mathematics, where I gained structured teaching experience delivering lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and adapting content for a wide range of learner needs. My focus throughout has been on making technical subjects accessible and relevant. I ve worked with learners from a range of backgrounds, including those with low prior attainment and additional learning needs, and developed effective strategies for engagement and progression. I am also completing a part-time MA in Educational Leadership and Management, which is helping me deepen my understanding of curriculum planning, learner development, and assessment all of which I believe are directly transferable to vocational and technical training within the rail and engineering sector.
