About
I am an accomplished educator, researcher, and industry practitioner in the field of Computer Science, bringing together a decade of academic experience alongside significant technical and managerial roles in the IT and banking sectors. I earned my PhD in STEM and Mobile Learning from the University of the West of Scotland, building on an academic portfolio that includes an M.S. and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science & Engineering, an M.Ed. in Science and Technology Education, and an MBA in Finance. In higher education, I have served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Dhaka and as Adjunct Faculty at East West University, delivering modules in programming (C++, Python, Java), software development, and educational technology, while supervising student research and leading pedagogy-focused workshops. My research record is marked by interdisciplinary leadership in areas such as AI in education, cybersecurity, machine learning, data science, and inclusive technology adoption. I have published extensively in reputable international journals and conference proceedings, with notable recent work on educational supply chains, digital inclusion, and applying natural language processing to cybersecurity. I have directed or contributed to projects funded by UNESCO, the University Grants Commission, and international academic collaborations. In addition, my industry credentials include seven years as a Senior Manager (Technology & Business) at IFIC Bank and as an Operation Engineer (Data Warehouse) at VU Mobile, where I managed software development, database administration, quality assurance, and IT operations skills I have used to cultivate industry-aligned curriculum and mentor students on real-world projects. My commitment to inclusive and equitable education is reflected in my leadership of peer mentoring schemes, volunteer work supporting neurodiverse and underrepresented learners, and development of blended and technology-enhanced teaching materials. I am certified in Technology Enhanced Learning, Education & Training, and Autism Awareness, and am working towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). My key achievements include: Nearly a decade of university-level teaching emphasizing practical, inclusive, and research-led learning. Recognized research output in emerging areas of computer science and educational practice. Strong industry engagement, bridging theory and practice for student employability. Leadership on interdisciplinary and funded projects in ICT, digital pedagogy, and inclusion. With a passion for inspiring diverse student cohorts and contributing to curriculum innovation, I am well-positioned to add value to any academic team committed to research-informed, impactful computer science education.
