About
I am drawn to the Peer Trainer role at the RCE Wellbeing Hub because it represents a natural progression in my journey to support others through recovery, empowerment, and lived experience. My current role as a Children s Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner has given me invaluable insight into how emotional distress affects people from a young age and how early intervention, compassion, and psychoeducation can foster long-term resilience. I have developed and delivered group sessions and one-to-one support, tailoring approaches to meet diverse emotional needs all of which would directly support me in designing and delivering co-produced wellbeing courses at the Hub. Working closely with children, young people, and families has strengthened my ability to communicate with empathy, use strength-based approaches, and hold space for complex emotional experiences skills I believe are vital to the Peer Trainer role. I am excited by the opportunity to bring these skills into an adult education and recovery setting.
