I have a very strong subject knowledge, tailored to all 3 of the sciences as well as a high ability to solve problems, to critically analyse date and good mathematical/numeracy skills.

I also have an immense drive about my character, so my subject knowledge may not actually be "perfect" for certain aspects of the "health and social course"; the learning of certain disorders for example, but I would ensure I profusely learnt each and every detail required.

I have exceptional people skills, I enjoy working as a team and would always do anything I could to help out fellow peers. I am an extremely passionate person and would always aim to go above and beyond to facilitate the learning and progression of any pupils. I am also very approachable and therefore radiant positive energy that pupils often feel like they can come to me, should they need additional support.

I am also hard working and reliable.

About

I have ample experience teaching in secondary schools; from key stage 3 through to A level. I have taught in a wide range of schools, with completely different cohorts of pupils and this has provided me with lots of vital experience and helped me to develop as a teacher.

It has also provided me with the opportunity to form positive relationships, improve and develop my teaching style and to work as a team.

My recent time at Hugh Baird has been brief but it has had a huge impact on my development.
It has been the first time I have taught in higher education and it is something I have thoroughly enjoyed and tried to excel in. It has helped me develop my ability to work as a team and collaborate with peers. It has also broadened my subject knowledge too as I have had very limited exposure or experience with a health and social course.

I felt as though a lot of my time during this placement at Hugh Baird was "learning on the job" due to my limited experience with "health and social" but I feel now as though I would be much better equipped to tackling and immersing myself in a potential future role.

I have also attended regular meetings which has reinforced to me the importance of working as a team and ensuring all work and preparation is well structured to ensure deadlines are met and to ensure I am meeting all of the standards required of me.
