Fire Safety Specialist

About

I bring substantial experience auditing high-risk premises, assessing external wall systems in line with PAS 9980 guidance, and engaging with duty holders to drive fire safety improvements. I am now looking to develop more deeply as a specialist in fire safety within the private sector. My current responsibilities include assessing a wide variety of complex premises, from healthcare facilities to high-rise residential blocks, where external wall systems and combustible materials are a key focus. While I have not yet physically sampled façade systems directly, I have carried out detailed risk-based evaluations of FRAEW reports to assess compliance, applied PAS 9980 methodology in practice, interpret findings and support remediation strategies. I am now looking to transition into the private sector, where I can apply and expand my expertise in a more specialist capacity. I am currently completing a degree in Fire Engineering with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) on a part time basis, which is further strengthening my technical foundation in fire dynamics, building design, and performance-based safety solutions.
